Visa Waiver

National passport holders from the following countries are entitled to exemption from applying for a visa when entering Thailand as a tourist - based on bilateral agreements.

They are stamped into Thailand on a special entry stamp indicating the visa waiver entry.

Requirements

  1. Passport from an approved country.
  2. Be visiting Thailand strictly for tourism purposes.
  3. Hold a genuine passport with a valid expiry of more than 6 months.

People who are not eligible to enter Thailand under the Visa on Arrival scheme, Visa Waiver or Visa Exemption rule are required to obtain a visa through a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate prior to their visit.

Extension

No tourist visa extensions available for holders of a visa waiver.
